This is a series of 3 workshops (2nd of 3) and you must have attended the previous workshop to participate.
The workshop series will be led by the well known filmmaker Nadia McLaren. ” I am an Objiway artist and storyteller as well as a mother of two children. I am happiest working within my First Nations community that honours where we have come from and where we’ve been and where we are going as a people. Through artistic exploration I wish to speak of the beauty, resilience and hope of my people, the Anishnabeg, (“People of this Land”)”
Using different media the workshop participants will have the opportunity to explore the personal meanings of symbols & teachings from Elders, recurring personal themes and examine their ‘self’ through artistic expression.
