NFC youth have been involved in the Tillikum Lens Project since June 15th. The project empowers Indigenous youth to tell their stories through photography! They were trained in photography and given opportunities, such as wooden paddle making @ Cdn Canoe Museum, to take pictures. Images are powerful storytellers – it is often said that an image tells a thousand words. Images are also very strong emotional statements and give great empowerment to the creators of those images. In this case, our youth.
We are so proud of what the youth have accomplished. Come and join us to celebrate the youth and view their photography and wooden paddles.
